  1. Gather 3 different references from birds (at least 1 needs to be a bat).
  2. Draw each reference as you see it with simplified manipulated forms.
  3. Rotate each reference 2 times in a different angle (for a total of 9 drawings).

This was more difficult. As others have noted, it's hard to process very thin volumes, especially once foreshortening takes place. I think I both under- and overdone it within the assignment.

I actually found these more difficult than the reptiles. I think I have trouble visualizing the flatter plane like shapes of the wings in space than I do cylindrical shapes.

Nice work so far, try to use more simple forms (think boxes, cylinders, etc.) Right now your mannequin is a 2D copy of your reference with some contour lines. In this exercise we don't want to make a nice copy of our reference, we want to understand the underlying forms.

Hi there. Here it is my first round of birds. I am having a blast aand my brain is hurting at the same time. :) The two thinks I find more dificult are: 1. How to show wings bending toward the camera. 2. And the head from the bat. But this execise it is increasing by far my visual library!

Quick question. Where are the resources? I just don't find them :)
Fatima Almoumen
