I'll be going for some sort of humming bird/dragon fly/triceratops thing. I ended up making a new thumb nail to suite the features better, but did keep the wings of one of the thumbs (in design).
Pureref is also a pretty good free tool for this kind of thing if anyone was looking for one (Ctrl + n for notes).

dargons! I'm also taking an animation class and did a little animation to practice both classes.

I got a bit lazy as I went on. Also got a bit goofy after googling "chicken wing anatomy reference" and getting nothing but food images.

I feel like I enjoyed the exercise on the first dragon, the second one was a nightmare though. Some poses are wayyyyy harder than others.

I really struggled with this one. I couldn't find any good references for lizard anatomy (crocodile specifically). I ended up trying to use human attachment points. I think I need some more joint/anatomy knowledge before I can comfortably tackle this. I might double back to this after the rest of the course. Thanks for the interesting assignment.

I really liked making tail like tapering shapes from imagination, but I fell down on the last part of the assignment. I Can't seem to apply it to references too well, something I need to practice.

Not super sure I understand the third part of the assignment

Krita came out with a major release that changed some stuff up and added some tools. I recommend folks google some youtube videos on the update in parallel to this video. The transform/warping tool changes and the perspective tool changes are great.

Forgive the photo quality, I was having technical difficulties in uploading clip studio paint images (an explanation on this would also be nice) here are three of my ribcage assignments, I want to point out that I take a different approach when doing the torso or rib cage, I like to use a block compared to an egg since it helps me later on when adding clavicles and scapula (I was looking over the shoulder bones videos) I also find it helpful to draw a sphere or circle in the place of the abdomen; It helps me better with the lower lumbar section of the spine and ensuring proper distance between the rib cage and pelvis
Any critique on these three images would be helpful

Looks good, I really like the second ones simplified pelvis.
* Consider adding a plane for the sternum to each.
* If you are going to do the boxy thing, maybe consider adding the rib cage nested inside with a different color to show you understand the form. Thin references where you can see the rib cage like the second reference will benefit from drawing it. I think you'd struggle to flush out the second drawing with your boxy method.
* The body builder facing the camera head on is a bit difficult to read. Consider adding some cross contour lines when shapes are hard to read.
* All 3 drawings are very loose, consider doing at least one tighter drawing.
For image uploading. Most websites don't understand software specific project files. You need to export/save to a standardized file format that all websites/tools understand. For these kind of sketches, use jpeg or png.
You can export a single layer with "File -> Export (Single Layer) -> .jpg" or "Save As" and then change the file format to jpg.

I think I must have a really thick skull and it takes a lot of repetition to get anything through it. The countless step by step examples are exactly what I think I needed. Any critiques or criticisms are always appreciated.
