I feel like my initial ambient occlusion pass had too much directionality baked in - that made it challenging to change the direction of the directional light.

Direct light on week 1's assignments with the most concern over getting accurate shadows.
Monsters with one and two different light sources, only taking direct light and ambient occlusion in consideration; I also haven't really applied much light falloff, but I'll try to give that more importance during the next weeks.
