Painting Light 102 is the next step in learning after Painting Light 101. This second course branches out from painting what you see to starting to paint from your imagination.

In this course, you'll learn how to not only paint believable light from imagination, but how to see and think in ways that will make the painting process easier.

If you can see in an image a component of inspiring color or light you can learn how to take just this element and apply it in an original way into your own work
3Painting Ambient Light
We'll start by learning to see and paint soft ambient light
4Painting direct light
We'll explore the difference of direct light and how to see cast shadows from both hard and soft light sources
5Painting Indirect/Bounced Light
We'll explore how to see and paint accurate bounced light
6Undestanding and Painting Materials
There is more to an object than it's local color. We'll explore how to see all of the components of materials and how to paint them
7Painting Fog and Atmosphere
We'll explore how to paint fog and atmosphere
8Advanced Extraction
We'll show how to explore a variety of lighting ideation through a series of quick sketches that add multiple moods and color palettes
