Course In Progress
In this critique, we explore the challenges of drawing objects from multiple orthographic views. Through examples like chairs, winged objects, and simplified cars, you'll see how to break down challenging forms into manageable parts.

You got my name perfectly, Master Vandruff. Which is extremely rare, and hugely appreciated!
As for the subject, the front view is wrong. The back side should have extended as the top view suggested! I corrected it in preparation for the oblique view.
Thank you for this amazing course, by the way. It was WELL worth the wait, my simpler sketches are already showing improvements from doing the first twenty three orthos!

I knew the nozzle might come up! The question "in a world devoid of perspective, how would this work?" kept echoing in my head. I opted for a hard edge since i figured an ellipse would imply perspective. Maybe i was just overthinking it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to create this critique video, Marshall. I had a bit of a struggle drawing my chosen item, a simple console known as the Playdate, but it was an enjoyable challenge nonetheless. I'm going to start practicing more on this subject with different items.

Wow, we definitely are going to be “one man” army after this course. Thank you so much for putting time for us. Art is scientific.❤️

I didn't have time to work on the assignment from an object so I missed the critique. It turned out as an opportunity though. Being the overachiever and dissatisfied soul I am, I will start working on this but from a creature I am making for another anatomy course I am going through with Rey Bustos. I will challenge myself to try to solve all the orthographic views while designing this creature. Wish me luck!

Marshall, thanks for your explanations on these orthos by everyone.
Although this course is about drawing freehand, I appreciate you
explaining the technical aspect too and the use of drawing to communicate.
Although I haven't participated as much as intended, I know more
now than at the start.
On a positive, with practice and these lessons I can only improve.

Thanks for the lengthy critique video. I'll be sure to give it another go since I did struggle with it mightily.
