LESSON NOTES
Learn how color moves by reducing your palette to two simple complementary colors. You will learn invaluable lessons of how colors "cross" from one side of the color wheel to the other, and how important that transition is. These principles can be applied to more complex palettes.

honestly im confused, should i just treat the neutral colors as halftones to make the 2 colors work and flow?
also, i am having a problem with my keyboard so it may send this massage multiple times
I think I lost the neutrals at the end. Definitely learned something from this! Looking forward to the next lessons.
This is the the course I was looking for. Great demo and approach towards teaching color
no subtitle, ahhhh :(. I'm deaf
Kind of panicked since I couldn’t get as much done but hopefully I’ll improve as the course goes on
Thank you for this lesson! I used basic brushes in procreate for this, will appreciate any critique
For those wondering where to find the line drawing and Marco’s brushes: it’s in the course overview’s downloads.
This was an exciting start to the course. I know the results isn't up to the mark, and there are some flaws, but I had fun learning to use complementary colors.
This was pretty eye opening. I wish that I put more painterly detail into the house.
Wow, this was different but so exciting, I feel like the rest of this class will really help me see color better!
I agree. I love this course. Marco really opened my eyes on how value play such a huge role in color. Great job on the painting! What program are you using?
Nice! That looks really good. Have you tried comparing yours with a screen shot of Marco's and see how you can improve?
This is something I'm going to need to do, thanks for the inspiration.
Great course so far. Where can I find the link to the brushes and/or the line art in this lesson?
You told that there was an entire lesson about the middle stone colour because they work completely different, did I miss it? By the way I love your course .best teacher
great lesson! I did this practice in clip studio, with default brushes, it was hard for me to get good textures
Photoshop brushes can work on krita though they need to manually create brush preset for each on them. Hope that helps !
for this wonderful lesson I wanted to use a photo taken in Japan during a trip two years ago as a reference and apply the complementary color palette. beautiful and very fun exercise!
Love the course so far! I'm wondering where we can download the PS file and brushes you mentioned?
