if anybody wants to practice this lesson more but doesn't have an asaro head, William Nguyen on Art station made an asaro head model, you can rotate and adjust the light source. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/GX3Ax1
marco's has a simplified side and a complex side but William's only has a both sides as complex sides. I made some attempts too but struggling. This course is amazing though.
LESSON NOTES
Taking all the concepts we've learned about the construction/planes/rhythms of the head - combined with values now - and doing a study of the Asaro head.

I rarely paint much lately since I am more focused on getting a solid foundation for my drawing skills, however I gotta admit this was a fun one to try.
Trying to simplify the shadows "makes more sense" when you are thinking about the base for it as your sketch/drawing.
I am open for critiques, the purple is the first image that you sent me. the blue is the second and the third is green. I also took some self critiques to note what mistakes I did wrong.
Thank you so much for this course! I am learning so much. I found an app with Asaro head models and have started practicing and feel like I have a much better handle on the head. Here’s some work, critique welcome.
