Those are great! I like the flowing lines, and you're definitely using the CSI elements. Probably something to work on would be proportion (we all need to work on that haha) It looks like your limbs and torsos tend to be a little wide so keep that in mind when you're practicing.

Hi! I have just finished my Yoni drawing. This was my second attempt. The first time around I was simply unable to apply Stan's measuring technique(s) and I gave up simply thinking I was not yet ready or lacking drawing practice (gesture, anatomy etc). I then started the anatomy course and more particularly the Torso section, which I have not finished yet. After completing the drawing and shading of the torso I thought I'd go back to the Figure Drawing course and have another shot at completing the final drawing so here you go! Any critique will be very welcome. @Stan Prokopenko @Jesper Axelsson. Cheers, Romain

My submission for the April Proko Challenge. The book is Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat. It's an autobiography about a scientist sent to Northern Canada to investigate the decimation of caribou by wolves, only he founds out that maybe the wolves aren't the culprit. I reference the wolf/moon big bad wolf, werewolf etc trope, using snapping and howling wolves to show people's imaginations of what wolves are really like. I tried to simplify the shapes of the caribou and the hunter to echo the wolves' silhouettes (my reach may have exceeded my grasp!) in the meantime letting the shadows hint the subject of the book. This was a very fun challenge, thank you!

Here's my entry! I had a lot of fun designing the cover, especially since I hate how the German one looks haha

Thank you so much for this course! I am learning so much. I found an app with Asaro head models and have started practicing and feel like I have a much better handle on the head. Here’s some work, critique welcome.

When the upper eyelid hangs over itself, it's called a "hooded lid", at least on make up tutorials haha. Many people get them as a normal part of aging but some younger people have them too.

Thank you so much for this class! I'm enjoying every minute, you're a really good teacher. I’ve been struggling so much with drawing faces and you’ve explained it so well.

These are two minute gestures I did this morning, this is the first time I’ve looked for critique on my figure drawing but it’s better later than never. I’ve also been using Figure Drawing: Design and Invention by Michael Hampton as well

The proportions look great to me I think working on your line work might be helpful? And making sure you’re doing the CSI lines instead of contours.

Is it just me or does the drawing of these gestures seem very situational? For example, sometimes Stan will follow the gesture of the pose using the center line, and other times he'll start with the contours of the shoulders, or draw the arms first etc. I feel like I pay more attention to broader strokes of CSI that I miss these smaller details. But I thought the point of this exercise was to look past detail? If anybody is able to provide some clarity on what to look for I'd really appreciate it :) here are some of my better gestures that I've done recently

Yeah the pose matters? Your proportions look nice! Something to practice might be cleaner lines?

Gesture drawing is by far the most difficult lesson and I’ve practiced a lot. I take 4-5 min because my proportions fall apart at 2 min. These are super fun though. I think my line work and exaggeration are things to work on but criticism is welcome. :)
