For a single scene, is the size and shape of ambient occlusion constant regardless of ambient lighting color and intensity? The only thing that changes is value?

Ignoring color, it looks like the size and shape don't change for a sphere. At least in Blender Cycles.

Here’s a sketch I did from imagination. It’s supposed to be a detective walking in soft ambient light. My main concern was shape design. I focused on trying to get an interesting sillhouette. It’s mostly for fun but if you have any tips, it’s much appreciated :)

@Dorian Iten why do you mention ambient occlusion happens mainly in the shadow area and not ONLY in the shadow area?

I'm not confident enough that it is "only" in the shadows.
Can we find an example where AO is visible also in an area of direct light?
