My household objects

Household objects were definitely a challenge, trying my best to simplify, without going to much into details.

Sorry for all the images. Oof. I'm often on the go and all over campus so I tried to find items around me. XD Hopefully it suffices. The household object part was so hard, I'm gunna have to do way more of those.

I avoided the object drawing of this assignment, and took a long time doing the 10 items, that I almost forgot to attach the subtraction and addition aspects (°ー°〃) Really struggled to get through this assignment.

This one was tough. But fun! House hold objects tripped me up a bit

The subtraction assignment was pretty challenging with boxes for some reason. For the household objects assignment, I didn't match the proportions but did add the simplified shape of each segment.

@Antonio Stappaerts For each part of the assignment should we do like the result of the addition/substraction of the forms? IE I show both forms that will do the substraction (Look at the box getting an edge trimmed off) Or jus the end result?

In the beginning you can draw both forms but eventually you want to be able to draw the end result without an extra step.

Tried breaking down the household objects to the simplest primitives I could, was hard to know when to stop sometimes

Hi! Here there is my assigments for the objects. I did the breakdown, and the drawing, tried to kept it as rough as possible so my though process is in the drawing.

Hey Laura, great job on these. Instead of just drawing the resulting object, try to also make notes of where the simple forms get manipulated. Try to establish what forms are being added or subtracted to come up with the resulted shape. This is important as that will ultimately make it easier to draw these objects from memory and in different orientations. Keep up the good work!

And the forms! For the subtraction, I have drawn both objects, so you can see what I am actually trying (with more or less success) to do.

Nice job Craig. Though make sure, for your household objects, you start with the simple forms that make up the object first, before moving into subtraction or addition. This will ease the process and make the resulting forms more structured and believable.

Addition/Subtraction assignments. Learned a lot! I realized I'm much better at subtraction than addition. I had some trouble with matching the perspectives of the two shapes I was trying to add together. The life-reference drawings were tricky. Some came out decent, others don't look very good. I will continue to practice these.
