Hey @dinos Welcome! Glad to hear you've signed up for the Marvel Course! When it comes to comics you'll want to have a pretty solid grasp of the fundamentals to draw from your imagination, so I always recommend The Drawing Basics course for folks wanting to get into comics!

For anatomy specifically, Michael Hampton has a great series of courses on drawing the human figure, from gesture, to figure and portrait construction. These are essential skills for drawing the body from reference, and imagination.

From there you can move on to more specific courses like the Figure Drawing Fundamentals Course, or the in depth Anatomy Course!

If you're just getting started, I'd highly encourage you to check out Drawing Basics first so you can start to develop your foundational skills, and then start to explore anatomy once you're comfortable with drawing the figure as simple primitive shapes in perspective. Hope this helps, looking forward to seeing your art work!
Thank you so much ! Your advice is really helpful ! As for the Marvel course, do you know if it is good and how should someone work with it ?Also, do I have lifetime access to it ?
Thank you for your response !
I agree that Drawing Basics is a great place to start. I always wanted to learn how to draw, but did not really know where to start; I, like a lot of folks, watched lots of videos on aspects of drawing that I thought I needed to learn in order to draw some basic things. There was a lot of miss and a little hit. Luckily, one of those "hits" was a free proko video on youtube and I started the drawing basics course in the fall. I just finished the course, but I keep going back to improve certain skills or try the next level. I can see in what ways I've improved and where I still need to practice. I was starting at ground zero, but there are others in the same course who are coming in as intermediate-level students (so, I can also learn from them in addition to Stan's lessons). Thanks @Patrick Bosworth for the suggested progression of courses to take to improve drawing the human figure. Good luck @dinos.
Try to find a life drawing class where you can practice gesture and figure drawing, you just need a lot of repetition first to figure it out and a course that can guide you along the way. Watts Atelier has a great figure drawing fundamentals course online, and there are plenty of courses here on Proko as well. Then, bridgman anatomy! Just don't get his book, it's completely incomprehensible. Take a course from someone who's already learned Bridgman and can break it down for you.
Comic book artist David Finch (also has a proko class) offers some advice on this subject here: https://davidfinchart.com/where-to-start-and-where-to-go-from-there-a-roadmap-to-professional-quality-art/
Also I should mention that the Proko website is famous because of Stan's work and courses focusing on the figure.
Best of luck in your comic making journey.
Thank you so much !!! I am actually considering of buying the course on figure drawing fundamentals . Have you tried it ? Do you know if it is worth and helpful for my case ? I would also want to know about the course with Marvel , if you have purchased it ... How was your experience and how should someone work with it ? Also, has it an expiration date ?
Your advice is really helpful for me !!!
