Help: What is this triangle-shaped patch of light on Bo Burnham?!

Hi proko community! I was doing studies of lighting setups based on the video for Bo Burnham's "White Woman's Instagram," and rewatching it, I noticed something. It's not the focal point of the image, by any means, but it is there. What is there that's causing that triangular/rectangular patch of light, seemingly caused by a light source *behind* him? Is there something reflective off set that we're not seeing? For reference, I painted out the triangular patch, and the image still reads without a hitch - though that might not mean much. You can see the shot in question at https://youtu.be/xHotXbGZiFY?t=189. And listen to the song, it's pretty nice. Thanks, Jason

Im pretty sure its not the direct sunlight and is coming from the right of the arm-> Towards the end of the shot the forearm catches it a bit of it and you can see how it appears past the terminator line of the main light pretty clearly. it also shines on the back of the arm that is definitely pointed away from the light. I'd bet its just a mirror or something reflecting the sunlight back on him.

This is really interesting. Years ago when I was painting a landscape there was a stop sign right in front of us but it was turned so it's side was facing directly toward me. If painted it would look like a random stick in the middle of my painting. So we ignored it. I like you're idea of just painting it out. We don't have to be slave to the image or to nature. Design the image so it reads well without any wierdness.

I initially thought it was light reflecting off the sheets, probably from the lower right corner. But looking at the video I see hard edges on the top and bottom, which I think are closer to the light source- I think the arm is turned toward the source enough to catch a little bit of direct light.
