Here's my second attempt after watching the Demos. It's a skatepark
I struggled alot with this one because I started frawing the furthest objects first and projected them away fram the vanishing point. This made it much harder to make all my lines converge to the vanishing point. I ended up using a ruler to make guides for my converging lines.

Here's my submission for the level 2 project. How did everyone manage to make sure that their lines were perpendicular? I kept having to use a triangle ruler to check and correct my mistakes.
All feedback is welcome!

Had some trouble with form intersections in another drawing so I thought I'd practice that as part of the review of one point perspective.

first one is weighted lines to convey shapes, and second one is to convey light and shadow! let me know what you think. one critique i have of myself is that they are too similar, the shadow one is not 'shadowy' enough'? thanks!

Great work! I like your line they have so much energy to them.
For the first one, I struggled as well trying to decide what was important and what wasn't. For me, I decided that the head was important so I gave it a heavy outline all around to make it stand out and lighter lines for what I thought wasn't as important. Hope that helps.
I'm not sure what you mean by "noy shadowy enough", but I feel like the light source isn't clear enough on the second image.
For example, if I assume the light source is coming from the bottom left of the page the front legs have thin lines to convey light, but the lips do not. Making it hard to tell where the light is coming from.
But you're able to show contrast in your line weights which is a very good skill to have.

I didn't time myself: I wanted to focus on proportions and quality of the line. I used overhand grip with charcoal pencil on newspaper.

Two other rhythm studies. First in pencil. Then I tried to apply these concepts in digital. After which I tried a shading technique using the lasso tool and a textured brush. Very fun technique which allows you to think about the shape of each shadow

Here's my first batch of the assignment, I didn't time these drawings. Some poses were harder than others and I had to redo them, especially the ones with foreshortening.
I kept feeling like I was making mannequin studies with some of these as we were supposed to be more accurate with these drawings than gesture drawings (at least that's what I think we're supposed to do).

Here's my Level 1 assignment submission. I struggled with the poses where the animal wasn't doing anything interesting, but I guess that's the point of the assignment. All critiques are welcome

Here's my attempt using the eyeballing method and making much fewer measurements. I found that when using the more precise measuring method Stan showed in his last Demo I made the subject slight too thin and I think I overcompensated for that with this one and made it too wide. I guess with more studies my drawings will get more accurate

My second attempt after watching the demo. Seeing Stan doing the assignment really cleared up a lot of questions I had with the process, making this attempt take much less time than the first one did

Finally done with this drawing. It took so much longer than Stan said it would, especially because I was checking my proportions with the reference at every stage.
Speed was my biggest struggle with this, how often should we check our work against the reference
