Didn't really understand until looking and others posting what they did i visually understand i think. used something else as reference because i already say others do it.

General idea i think i am getting it 1min 25 seconds was my reference in the video
Not the best reference but it sort of connected in this image it all leads into the centre
Here’s the first image I tried to study from (Peter Han). I simplified the form of the protagonist into basic shapes.
One thing I realized while looking at some interesting images was that many of the dynamic and engaging angles could be represented into a cube. From there, I noticed that I could apply a composition/design rhythm (big, medium, small) to the visible sides of the cube. The largest side is the one facing us the most. Using this cube in perspective, I could construct a 'perspective grid' to angle the view of the scene. I think the views created this way look visually interesting and well-designed to me.
What should we look for when we examine the perspective of an image?
- Vanishing points
- Horizon line
- Depth
- Foreshortening
- Angles and planes
Have you found any specific techniques or approaches that help you learn perspective even when you're not fully familiar with the theory?
Quite insightful going to use this to understand more complex images broken down into the directional planes in your third image. Thanks Andrea Kra again

Marshall, this one video highlighted the problem I've run into in every single perspective course I've ever taken. The "subdividing" trick is among only a few things that stuck from my last perspective course. I learned how to identify one, two, three point perspective. But I never fully understood the tools I was being handed. Everything was so lost in the vocabulary and the tricks, without a clear grasp of the wider applications and with NO understanding of how to freehand any of it. Too rigid and disconnected from the rest of the drawing process to integrate those tools into my work....
Here I've two little practice sessions. On the left, I've done what worked for me with figure drawing by doing some timed studies from photos. Just to broaden my visual library and get better at understanding space from photos. On the right, two slower sketches attempting to exercise the perspective learning from imagination...
Thanks phoenix this gave me more of an idea on actual application to this video.

Man, this one was a real challenge... But I think I finally understand the entrance stairs in this image. After seven attempts, I feel like I now have an intuitive grasp of the space. I should have drawn a top view of the scene earlier to better understand how the top part of the stairs looks. I struggled a lot to connect the two round stairs in a way that makes sense.Another revelation was rotating the planes around the cylinder. Did I miss anything?
i am going to use this as reference with a different scenario thanks Andreas Kra

This is my analysis of what I think is going on. I am not sure if I am close to what he used, or if I am hammering a screw. Anyway, based on the fact that I put the work into it, I wouldn't mind some feedback to see how close I was at it.

Quite simplistic for the moment.
