added comment in3 Weeks to Better Gesture Drawing
Asked for help
Week 3 try to pick up a few things from glen keane and other cartoon hands.
I found drawing feet is much more difficult than hand. If f i had a fetish with feet, probably solved the problem...
Just kidding... lol
Btw I started watching Arcane lately, the style of it is amazing, and I truly love the plot so far. Anyone watched that? I really love how the micro expression on the face is animated, and how the face feel so sculpted.

Week 2
Definitely is grinding a lot this week, and I feel like both 1 min and 5 min gesture drawings are improving. Posted my submission here and my progress(not submission) in the comment. Thx for the advice that Amu gave although sometimes I ll go back to my old habit of drawing many times for 1 line...
Usually what people focus in 5 or longer minutes drawing? I saw many of you focus more on the presentation (aesthetic), and some goes to the route of anatomy. I am still learning anatomy quite slowly, so the 5 minute drawing is also a good practice for that to me.

Week 1 10*1min and 10* 5min
I usually don't time my drawing, so the 1 min always feels a bit rushed, even though I started doing it a week ago when the challenge began. Any advice for that?
I have to be honest with you guys, I cheated a bit... to add 10-20 seconds to refine 3 1-min poses. Is it ok?
If thats not ok, can I redo and resubmit 3 poses? Truly sorry about that.

That s truly inspiring to me, now I want to do more of these...
In the last thumbnail of the demo, I start seeing the subtle difference between values in the painting now. Thank you very much for the demo and the painters that you introduced in this assignment.

Um sorry for the long passage, but I am struggling, lol
I am attempting to go with the flow for the value thumbnail, coz I am still not sure which value in the painting = which value in the black and white scale.
At first I did the edgar payne's one, I think I am doing it without much thought to it, simply copying every shape in the pic...
Later I tried Zorn's painting, coz I am more familiar with drawing people, so I felt great with the flow when doing it.
The last one is Richard schmid's one, Just tried to see if any improvement after seeing some of your submission. But nah, drawing nature scene seems too random, and did I block the flow in the painting that guide viewers' eyes?
I am also amazed by the shape design in the painting (nature scenes), but not sure how to do that?
I have to say, doing value block in is funnnnn, even though it s difficult so far.
Heading on to watch the demo next.

Played around with bringing shapes forwards and pushing them back and then added some water for the final one...

This isometric optical illusion assignment was actually pretty fun, even though it took a lot of focus and really made my brain work!

ok I almost forgot to submit my work. Spend quite some time to understand the isometric illusion. The more rough ones are sketch stage 1, the digital ones re sketch stage 2. the 1 st pic is my study, the 3rd pic is something I try to play with., Quite honest I feel like the canvas is my playground in this project. It s easy to understand but hard to apply, thankfully I made it through.
