Does the Zorn Palette work painting the skintones of South Asian/East Asian/Southeast Asians who are more yellow leaning green based? If not, how could it be adjusted to better suit painting those ethnicities?

Sounds like a topic that might interest you, @Jo Sheridan!
Definitely @Liandro - I'll add it to my ever growing list.... I never thought that one of my biggest problems would be managing to prioritise the hundreds of learning resources available to me - if I watched everything I was interested in there would be no time to do any art! I'm currently working through some resources on the NMA website by Steve Houston which are just brilliant for beginners - I'm learning loads about colour theory and the Brown School v The Impressionists and how and why they are different - I think this is fundamental stuff that is easy to miss - attached a couple of value studies that I'm pretty pleased with...
Could you tell us more about those color studies? What's the procedure? And what specifically do you learn about color by doing them? I need to work on color so I'm interested in color exercises.
do you think an understanding of art history actually enriches your practice? I come from a time where my tastes are formed largely from current artists on social media.
Hello, I just wanted to ask if you guys have ever worked with mixed media or any unconventional materials, if so, how was that experience?
What is the difference between paintings get muddy and get chalky.and why is these happening.
Apologies for interruption, how do you spell the name of Proko's favourite painter that was mentioned? Thank you
Could you maybe explain the "dry brush" method you mention a bit more? Do you also scrape off paint or work with pallete knifes on the canvas?
What was Jeff Watts's reaction when you told him that you were learning to paint from a book?
Hello, Stan and Aaron. I wanted to ask how would one begin their initial painting? What are somethings one should keep in mind while painting ? Is there any prep one should do before painting ?
To Stan:thanks for that graphite demo(the portrait one)please more in the future. Also how do you draw gesture with graphite(do you use the overhand grip) and how would you shade the three basic forms WITH GRAPHITE
What is good set of oil paint to start with? (talking from a perspective of someone who already knows drawing, painting with acrylic and other mediums, except oil painting)
