LESSON NOTES
We'll start by simplifying our paintings down to a very simple flat grey lighting and give everything a flat gray material. If we can learn to paint accurate ambient light this will be the foundation upon which the rest of our art will sit upon.

feels like I spent forever on each of these and I know for sure I could spend even more time. It’s funny how when I zoom in I find areas that look totally unrefined but when I zoom out it doesn’t look too bad.
Lesson 1 assignments. I originally planned to do all of the provided images. But these took me longer than I anticipated. So I'm settling to just three for now. Any critiques and feedback are welcome.
These are definitely more challenging than 101! And very interesting. Posting my first two and working on some more which will come later.
I started doing my homework and chose this image as my first work. I am used to working with line art, which is a fundamental part of the final design and drawing characters, here I felt a bit like a fish out of water, but I hope I still succeeded in the assigned work. I attach here the version with line art and the one without.
Here is my third assignment! This little mushroom house is so pretty, I couldn't help but choosing it :). This time I played a bit with the background, trying to make the little house stand out more.
If anyone has some suggestions/critique, they are very welcome.
I add here my second assignment. Again I'm totally out of my comfort zone here, but I enjoyed coloring it, even if my eyes are not trained in drawing/coloring houses. As the one before, I attach the one with line art and the one without.
