Issues encountered...Trouble transitioning from pelvis to ribs; lost the right knee bend when twisting wire armature; armature hips too wide, running into wire (Tall and thin is I think what AJK suggested)
LESSON NOTES

Take the full course!

We’ve almost reached the end of the figure sculpting course and it's time to apply what we’ve learned to a final sculpture. Andrew Keith breaks down the 4 stages of the clay sculpting process and gives you valuable tips throughout each part of the sculpture he’s working on. By the end of the lesson you’ll see the final piece and gain an understanding of what’s needed to complete a larger and more detailed figure sculpture.

I'm trying to learn the torso first before I attempt a full body.

Nice love the pose and the gesture feels nice! yes you might need to push the spine up and bring the joint at the hips down to thin out the hips a bit. This is something I see people do often so perhaps I should have explained it better.

Well, I'm excited about the possibilities of clay. When I started the portrait course I saw it as an additional resource, or some way to look at the problem from a different angle, after a long period of meditation I started to take the books and... ok, I got too excited about cleaning my mini sculpture, especially because it was the piece and the head. I'll give myself some time to solve and push and I think I have an idea

Looking good! I like the way you've simplified the primary forms. I'd keep going and add some anatomy and details.

Hello Andrew. This lesson is wonderful, and inspiring. Thank you. I have seen this pose frequently in the course. Is it available in PoseSpace. I thought it might be a useful exercise to use this pose, and then move on to others.
