The most valuable part of these videos I've found is finding structure I was missing. I could already paint through observation okay enough, but it was typically through direct observation and not layering. It actually feels a lot less daunting this way.

I find it funny that the whole process reminds me of "paint the owl" meme. The course gives me a new perspective on how to render, and I think it's a success so far for me.
