I am going to show you how to draw the half-lock fold. This specific fold happens whenever two tension points on the body move closer together, like when an elbow or knee bends.
It is easy to look at a baggy shirt and get completely lost in all the random wrinkles. I will teach you a simple, repeatable pattern to look for instead. You will learn how to edit your reference photos, strip away the excess noise, and connect the fabric directly to the anatomy underneath. We will also cover how to map these folds in different perspectives so your drapery always makes sense in 3D space.

Stop copying every random wrinkle in baggy clothing.
The half lock fold forms where tension points pinch together. Anchoring this loop to the mannequin lets you ignore confusing excess fabric and keeps your drapery synced with the figure.
Now I can see there were quite a lot of pipe and diaper folds to find on the sleeves in the extra refs for the previous assignment. I didn't recognized any 👿
