Using a small wire armature, build a simple version of the mannequin with the Loomis head, the egg of the ribcage, and the box of the pelvis.
Then, connect them using boxes, cylinders, or a combination of the two. Then make sure to submit your assignment!

Possibly working larger or with a firmer clay might help. If it's small and too soft it becomes very difficult to work. Perhaps try pushing the gesture of the hips more for more movement in the pose.
