I find metal the hardest to replicate as it is very angle and environment dependent. I show how to see those complex reflections and paint them onto our monster illustrations.

In this lesson I demonstrate painting a gold material.
Gold.
started rough but it got better after the 3rd.
stumbled again on the last one.
Did just the five in this image because it took me quite some time, but am happy with the end result.
hmm, when light meets material, everything becomes more complicated. I need more observation and practice.
