Visited Nationalmuseum today - sculpture drawing

I visited Nationalmuseum in Stockholm today, and did a study of a sculpture by Johan Tobias Sergel, focusing on the thorax, which caught my attention. I did it for fun, but any feedback appreciated :) The first photo of the sculpture is from the point of view I had when drawing.

Great work! If you're looking for constructive criticism, I do have a suggestion. You didn't mention how much time you had, but I can see it is unfinished, so may I suggest that if you don't have time to do a full study, you can simplify more or focus on a certain part of it! That way you may be able to get more out of it. You did say it was for fun, so don't take it as a hard critique. Just something you may think about for future studies (:

Thanks for this @Elias Lemus :)

I like this a lot - its the looseness of the lines that look cool and the way you have situated this tiny piece into the background. I've been doing some sculpture/bust studies too - I'm pleased with the results but they are more constrained than yours - I'm still at the "must make it look right and finished stage

Very observant @Jesper Axelsson - I did this middle one as part of a course looking at "The Russian Approach" to cast drawing :)

Thanks @Jo Sheridan. And cool studies! I like the atmoshphere the reflected light creates in the middle one; reminds me of images I've seen of Russian academy cast drawings

Great sketch, Jesper!! Also, as a non-european, I’m so used to hearing about the work of classic artists from Italy and France, so it’s cool to see something made in Sweden! 😄

Thanks @Liandro!

Nice shadow shapes. It may look good to exaggerate the scrunching/outpouching of the external oblique on the figures right side (bent side).

Thank you @Tara Deryavoush Yes, I think so too. Thanks for pointing it out :)
