Hi Dennis, I'd like to suggest you spend some time iterating on one character design. It is always good to do a whole bunch of drawing(which it looks like you do), but thinking and brainstorming is really even more crucial. In the entertainment industry, character designers will do 'lateral exploration' which simply means they go through many, many iterations before they arrive at a final design for a character.Try thinking of some key words or ideas that interest you; places you could take the character. A great way to help you think of ideas is to start off by writing. If you know you're going to make a little raccoon guy, what could be the key words that define him? Is he a bandit, a brawler, a sci-fi pirate? Then you can dig deeper and brainstorm many directions once you have that general idea. What kind of weapons might he use, what kind of clothing should he wear? I did a little example for you here. These kinds of processes of thinking are really how you'll push the design aspect of your characters. Scott Flanders has a great video here on Proko that covers a bit of his ideas and process in regards to this, I highly recommend you watch it. Hey Dennis! I like your attitude- not perfection just improvement :) I can tell you draw a lot and have a widely interested imagination so good for you! Just try to be critical of your work but don't let it stop you from drawing a lot. You can count on your drawing skills and draftmanship improving just from continuing. For robots, try to visualize how each part actually connects. For humans- keep trying to get the proper proportions and shapes of the body right. And at the same time, keep using your imagination for cooler and cooler designs! You have a lot of work here so I just did a drawing of your first design. I have missed drawing spider mechs. This was general advice, but if you have more work in the future keep it coming and we can get into more specifics!

You could start by working on your line confidence. There's a couple of drawabox lessons that teach you exercises for improving your dexterity. https://drawabox.com/ Just do a little bit every day before start drawing, at this stage is more important to build muscle memory over a long period of time instead of trying to solve the issue in a day or two.
