Box perspective disaster

Istg i really suck at this boxes thing. Idk why my box shapes are soo ugly i have a hard time translating it to a drawing at all. The reference pose looks so much more cooler and all i have is this. Like i have a hard time rotating the box, i have a hard time trying to like do the box perspective of each part here help
I don’t think you’re far off. To my eye, the spine is in a slight extension. Look at the plane of his right pec and the sternum. The C curve of his lumbar is also visible on the bottom right.The top plane of the torso box would then point more towards the head. Maybe turn the head into a box too?
But then I have not yet been brave enough to try these so good for you!
