My final piece along with some screenshots I took during the process (and my campaign for Skelly to get grills at the end). Had a lot of fun playing with gradient maps and masks towards the end. Also had some fun sorting all of the references onto one sheet, haha. I think this is definitely my strongest submission to one of these challenges and now I'm going to try not to imagine this floating above my bed as I sleep...

Baby Skelly circa 1986, disguised as a regular human, going trick-or-treating with his friends. Each household gets the fright of a lifetime when Skelly lifts his person mask, revealing a truly cute skeletal face!

It's been awhile since I've been able to join one of these challenges! When I saw the promt this idea was the first that came to mind. I'm open to titles though, any ideas?

Hello, my name is Sam and I am still kind of new to sharing my portfolio. As you can see I am mostly a character artist and I mainly want to improve my character design and story telling skills. Thanks for the opportunity to share my portfolio and have a great day!

Hey! This is my first ever Proko Challenge, I decided to combine the motorcycle, grasshopper and electric wiring to create the ‘Harley-Hopper 650.’ It’s set in a dystopian future where the remaining survivors have engineered a new way to travel (the technicalities are just minor logistics haha). The full story is in the beside the sketch if you would like to have a look :)

Great Idea! I love that you added a wheely shot that even shows a different angle. It makes me think of "Mad Max" but bug themed.

"The Sea Swordsman" I worked on several different ideas and then two of them became one! what a fun and creative challenge this was! I'm glad it was a sketch challenge as it gives me a break from coloring and kept me from overworking the piece.

In case you want to know, here are the images I used! (I wanted the main piece to be the focus on top so I am putting the references down here.)

I'm going for a "SeaSword" warrior. Gonna do some animation like last time after I tie down the design. So my question is, shoulder pads or no?

This is Green Thumb. He was a regular guy with an interest in Botany, at least that was the case until he got caught in an unfortunate tapping accident when trying to get sap for syrup. His favourite maple tree sprayed him with a radioactive sap that gave him, and some of his clothing special properties. For himself he can grow flora at incredible speeds, doing in seconds what should take years - this has given him purpose to help grow food in places and for people who may not have had it otherwise. This goes well with his arm right arm as well, which has been transformed into maple wood. His Hat of Sunscreening has the odd capability of obscuring the top half of his face, casting it into darkness (very handy for a hero). Lastly Green Thumbs trusty shovel never dulls and can never break, perfect for long planting sessions.

I love how the arm twists from muscles to branches!

By night, he is a mild mannered Elvis impersonator, but by day he is LARD MAN! With the outstanding abilities to secrete super slick oils from his skin (which allow him to slide at ridiculous speeds) and his amazing contortionist skills he has proven a slippery opponent to many a foe! His catchphrase? "IT IS I, LARD MAN, COME TO SAVE THE DAY AGAIN!" (Weather or not he has ever "saved the day" is up to debate, but he has unintentionally livened up many parties, weddings and New Years Celebrations in his career.)

I do enjoy these tracings! The fourth image did confuse me though as I didn't think the adductors could move that far back (At least I think they are the adductors!)
