I worked on this for 2.5 hours and then watched the demo. After that I spent another half hour. I could definitely spend longer getting the proportions right. After watching the demo I'm realising that I don't spend much time making changes and fixing the shapes before moving on.

My pears! Before demo on the left, after demo on the right. I used woodless graphite :)

I have to remind myself that I'm just a beginner. lol. One thing I feel like I struggle with is making satisfying looking strokes using the pencil. I feel like they are so fuzzy. I am left handed and tend to draw with the side of the tip of the pencil. I think I should be drawing straight down on the point. Does anyone have an insight with that that they can share? Also, I try to draw right do left, but that's impossible. I smudge my paper sooo much and that gets frustrating.

Finished my second pear. Oh my, it was exhausting near the end but I'm glad I decided to draw the pear a second time after watching the demo. I feel it turned out much better the second time around. I find drawing requires a lot patience if you want to see your skills improve. Proko is right, enjoy the journey, let go of the destination and the process becomes way more satisfying. Happy drawing you marvelous people!
