After seeing alot of great boots, I wanted to do another. I still hate laces

Trying to do as few lines as possible. Still have a way to go :-) But I feel I did it more relaxed than the snail.

It's challenging to do the laces!!! I wanted to skip it. This lesson taught me to slow down. Critique is very much appreciated.
After watching the critique, I wanted to do a more loose form based approach (on a different pear), to see if I could internalize what Proko was talking about near the end.
I think my darker midtones are still a bit lost, but the form approach seemed to help me think more about flow lines and let me be a bit more interpretive.

This is actually amazing!!! I love how you took time to understand the form and values and stuff. Yes, I feel you could have gone darker with your darkest shadow.

Sorry it's no longer a pear. What do you think cause I like it huhu. It's messy. It's something that I struggle with for as long as I remember!! More feedback is helpful. Thank youuuuu

It's difficult, but I like doing the portrait block-in!! It's not so great right now but it was fun. It's still hard to control and separate the dark and light halftones....I also did the pear again using the provided reference.

Hi guys I'm new. The first set was the first attempt I really wanted to start after watching the demo but Stan said we shouldn't which was difficult. The first try was the set of fruits. The second try after watching was the pear. Honestly identifying values and plane changes with its unusual shapes is so hard. But it was fun. feedback is always appreciated. Thank you so much!
