Think that I submitted my project incorrectly the first time. I'm trying again. Self-taught before this course, also haven't drawn much in around a decade. How'd I do? Are my values/form good? Where can I improve? I'm definitely going to be redoing this project several times, because (while I had a lot of fun once I started) the first time took a couple of days. I was anxious. Think I can do it faster and better though.

You nailed the shape of the pear. You can tell that you had fun with this assignment, and hopefully the anxiety lessens with each iteration as you gain confidence. When you put a light tone next to a dark tone, it creates a sharp edge, so we want to increase the mid tone to create the roundness of the pear. Then, we can design the shapes of the tones. Sometimes, I'll view my subject with unfocused vision and it helps me simplify shapes that way. Keep up the good work!
