Today I decided to tackle shading a bit and mess around with the limited tools I have. I only have an HB2 pencil and a good eraser. Rest is on its way.

Working on eggs and edges this morning. What’s the name of the part of the cast shadow where it starts to fade out?

My first quick attempt of the pear in Procreate.

So does anyone know when the next lesson will come out?

I thought I was pretty competent at portraits but trying to simplify the forms is actually challenging since I'm used to drawing all the details I see.....plus I realized I still have issues depicting the angles correctly in a large drawing since I'm used to doing small pen sketches.

Seeing how good everyone beginner here is makes me want to rage quit my life. I am literally the worst hand eye coordination in this course. I literally cannot draw a line and circle or anything. I hope I can muster a pear that doesn't give you all eye cancer. Fingers crossed.
