is there a specific reason that you want to do that? i would always couple these kind of challenges with specific things you want to learn so that you really got something out of it when you are done.

The Only thing i would tweak is the contrast to shift the focus more towards the person with the lantern. you can do that via lightning or/and color. i attached a quick example, you of course would need to tweak it more to make it look good. i pushed it to far :)

@appo Wow, beautiful stuff! I love how fantastic and whimsical these creatures and environments look, it certainly evokes curiosity and imagination for the stories these illustrations tell. And for me, someone who’s used to digital media for finished work, knowing it’s been fully done in gouache and watercolor pulls an extra “wow”. Great job!

the only thing i would crit is the color you picked for her left leg. with the strong blue tint it kinda pops out more then the right leg with its flesh tone. the values are fine but the color itself kinda puts it into the "foreground" in term of attention when you look at it.
