Improving Line Quality and Rhythm – FORCE Series Part 1

Your explanation really hit it for me as I do have this feeling of modelling/sculpting of a 3d form with soft strokes when I draw. And from here, after “feeling” the form, I can now move towards few lines that would be gesture. It really was not clicking with me when I was trying to draw a gesture from head or whatever random body part, without thinking of force.

Now I understand why gesture is so important. The motion, the understanding and the exaggeration of it. Trying to understand how it flows through the body towards the leading edge of the pose. Thank you for the Great video! My figure drawings have already become better after a few rewatches.

Love understanding the overall concepts. Never once did i hear you say or mention 'gesture'. Could the force concept be applied to gesture? Is it a form of gesture. Thank you.

I love his strokes, they are beautiful. By the way, what do I use to trace?
