Decode Bridgman’s Chaos and Build a Confident Drawing Mind

When I do my studies will it be better to directly dive into the videos and draw along to Jeff or should I try them on my own first?
Thanks
FYI The page numbers provided in the course begin at 16 pages higher than the current (5th) edition of Bridgeman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life. The first lesson on page 146 is on page 130 of the 5th edition, and it fluctuates between a 16-18 page difference.
Hi. I want to buy this course. But the ISBN number is not available in my country. What I have is ISBN 978-1-4549-2653-5. Is the version mentioned mandatory
I couldn’t find it either. I did find it in internet archive. https://ia801603.us.archive.org/20/items/pdfy-72f-FzW7wYN_r0ny/Bridgman%20-%20Complete%20Guide%20to%20Drawing%20from%20Life_text.pdf Some but not all of the drawings are in constructive anatomy which I already own. Im working on obtaining a physical copy of drawing from life.

We are not sure about that ISBN specifically, but the page numbers may be different than the page numbers that we reference in Watts on Bridgman since it's tied to that specific isbn version. So, you might have to go based more off of comparing the drawings visually rather than the page numbers. As long as it's a "Complete Guide to Drawing from Life" all of the drawings we do here should be in there.
I just started this course but I wanted to provide some feedback.
It would be great to add descriptions to the lesson notes that help the students orient the lesson to the ebook and the Bridgman book. The course starts abruptly with sketching the front torso without much orientation (except the titles) or context (should I be following along or waiting for exercises?).
Something as simple as (example for lesson one): "Review page 17 of Volume 1 from the ebook and page 146 of Bridgman's"
In general it would be great to have a level setting of what to expect. I, like others I imagine, aren't familiar with Bridgman's work. Should I read through it? Should just watch the videos? Follow along with the study? I looked up videos on the overhand grip and sharpening charcoal pencils but it might be worth pointing people to resources.

Thanks for providing feedback! We will be shortly updating the lesson notes to help provide more context for students and first time learners with Bridgman.
First thing that students should do is get one of the e-books and read the introductory sections which will shed a little more light on the course and techniques.
If someone has no familiarity at all with Bridgman, it would probably help to read some of the beginning sections of his on mass, weight, rhythm and particularly the sections on Wedging, Passing and Locking (page 25 of Bridgman) as those are the types of concepts that Jeff references when drawing because they are some foundations of Bridgman's technique and concepts.
We did mention a pencil sharpening video in the FAQ section to help students sharpen it like we use at our school, but we may post a video about that in the actual course lessons.

As you suggested, we agree that you should have some familiarity with Bridgman's work and done a decent amount of figure drawing exploration to be able to dive into this course effectively. This course fits more with intermediate and advanced students and would be a bit difficult for someone who is completely new to drawing. Having a basic level of drawing knowledge, particularly in gesture and constructive drawing principles is recommended.
In case anyone is in the same boat. Here are some resources I'm starting with to get familiar with Bridgman's work and personage.
Marshall Vandruff's Bridgman Bootcamp:
It's (so far) covering reviewing the book from start to finish with historical accounts etc. I'm feeling much more grounded and plan to finish this or at least until the Front Torso and then hopping back into this course.

Using the overhand grip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMC0Cx3Uk84
Would love to hear how others are jumping into the course. Drop some links/practices/advice below if you feel inclined.
When is the course gonna be available? It is already November 7th I want to start
Does this contain Jeff Watt's "Watts on Bridgeman" Vol 1 and vol 2 as a pdf, as well?
The ISBN number provided using google search does not lead to any links for purchase. I have found books with the same cover but different ISBN number

You can use several sites to look up the ISBN number of the Bridgman book. You can try the following:
ISBN-10 (provided above)
0517255464
ISBN-13
9780517255469
This is a website you can use to search ISBNs and find sellers.

Searching the internet, you can also find this version of the Bridgman book on archive.org. Please stay safe online, do not download PDFs you might find of Bridgman's Complete Guide you might find online.
Hello! Is this the same course that is on the Watts Atelier online program?
Hiiii, @Dillon Kemble! This course combines Volume 1 and 2 of the Watts on Bridgman course offered on the Watts Atelier site. It also includes both eBooks. Let me know if this helps, or if you have any follow up questions!
Sorry for the inconvenience, but it looks like there won't be Spanish subtitles. Are there any plans to translate it at some point? It's rare to find a course of this quality in our language, and I'm not yet fluent in English. Best regards.
Hi there, @Jose Anton ! Thanks for the question!
No plans for Spanish captions for this course at this time.
What are the differences with the course and bundle on the Watts Atelier website ?
Hey there, @karryle! This course combines Volume 1 and 2 of the Watts on Bridgman course offered on the Watts Atelier site. It also includes both eBooks. Let me know if this helps, or if you have any follow up questions!
