Can the background noise be fixed in the part where the conversation is sped up
i can not see the video of the sculpture study painting in black and grey. Is it not included?
the eyes part 1: It would have been helpful to have the side view of the skull in the top left corner while drawing the skull in profile. Right now, the front view image is getting in the way.
This course looks great. I enjoy your work. But I’m curious, is this course for beginners to portrait drawing? Also I only have traditional art supplies… (pencils and paper, easel, etc) Will this course still be suitable for me? Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks so much:) I believe it's helpful at all levels since it teaches principles that will always apply. I start out with simple concepts and work my way to more detailed work. So you can focus more on the gesture and simple block in concepts or decide to move ahead to the more nuanced stages of developing the anatomy and lighting:)
Anyone else has problem, that videos "Eyes Part 1" + "Mouth Part 2" don't work at all?
Don't even come to the video/download section. The link just doesn't open the page.
Other parts function. And I never had that kinda problem with any other course on the Proko. Still I can open any of my courses / any video-lesson. So it must be a systemic problem with this 2 videos.
My browser is updated. I use Opera, instead of Chrome. I know, that some sites on the web, work better with Chrome - but in THIS case... all my other Proko courses work perfectly on Opera.
So, does anyone else got a similar problem with the two vidoe-links?
Yep, having the same issue with Eyes Part 1 on Chrome. Doesn't load and crashes Chrome.
I haven't tried opening Mouth Part 2, but I've been having the same issue with Eyes Part 1. I can't get it to open no matter what device or browser I use. I sent a help request to try to resolve the problem.
It's 7th July at my end where is my course :D
different time zones. Maybe they launch it at 15:00 o'clock US time. That's about 9 pm in Europe.
Patience :D
Will you be including a brush set with the course? Super stoked for this. Ever since you dropped that you have a portrait class coming a couple weeks or so ago on YT. I’ve been checking in periodically on the process on IG. Since I’ve been watching your videos, people have been telling my work has seemed to advance over night. Your videos seem to resonate with me more. Thank you
Will this class include drawing assignments to apply the concepts?
The painting portion says it's for oil, acrylics, and digital media, but is there any reason I wouldn't be able to apply them to watercolor or gouache? Thank you.
It seems to be covering fundamentals that apply across mediums, so I'd say you can apply these to watercolor!
Hello, is the SUMMERSALE discount code cumulative with the presale discount ? I'm getting an error when I input the code on checkout. Thank you
right, it's not adding up both discounts. presale = 20 %, same as summer sale discount, that's it my friend :D
Hey Josh I got a question (got no painting experience but Potrait practice):
First I definitly want this course. Now or to wait until christmas. Thing is: I DRAW digitally for 6 months now, but I do not have painting (or digital PAINTING PRACTICE)
Yes, there is a basics course for digital Painting here on proko, but its expensive and I can't afford it now.
I also practice with Micheal Hamptons Head Construction course, so I got a little experience with Potrait.
As you see on the example, I do not have that much experience with colour or digital painting.
Can I anyway work with your Potrait Painting Course, or is it too advanced for me, yet?
Thanks, Josh, I love your drawing style!!

Thanks so much for your kind words Kevin! and I love your Yoda and Optimus Prime!! You definitely have the skills to apply what I teach in these chapters and they will help you learn how I simplify the painting process in easier more definable steps that can apply to digital and traditional painting:)

Hey, Kevin! Looking at what you've got in this piece, I think you definitely know enough of the core concepts to understand what Josh will be teaching in-depth in the course. I went through a lot of the course before our livestreams and he explains every step in his process with the why and how of what he does, both the art education aspects and how he's using the digital tools.
I think you should go for it! But if you want to see a free lesson he shared as a preview, here's on his YouTube channel so you can see his teaching style:

I don't understand. Which part of the course instruction is for regular participants/customers and which portion is for Premium?
Picky.. I want to see what my purchase options are.

If you get the full course, it comes with all 5 chapters, going over in depth the main features of the head, the eyes, ears, lips, and nose. The fifth goes in depth on my process to create a full color portrait from start to finish incorporating the learnings from the previous chapters:) Does that help?
Hi, I'd like to know whether the lessons will be released altogether on the same date or one at a time over a few months.
Thanks, the course looks amazing already!
Hey Josh, I was wondering what the ratio of theory/instruction to over the shoulder/draw along type content will be? Thank you!

Hey Machenzie! It will be a good mix of the 2. I like showing my process with drawing while explaining my ideas at the same time. I always try to call out and highlight my technique and process while showing you the exercises I recommend for learning the particular area of anatomy the chapter is focused on. I typically start with simple and move on to complex ideas to show how I build up from a simple gesture and layout to what it takes to create a more finished study.
