$80
Hey guys, I just released a course called Drawing Dynamic Characters. In it I go through my step by step process for drawing characters from start to finish. I cover everything from blocking in, thumb nailing, rendering techniques, and polishing an image.
It's in presale until August 18th with a 20% discount!
Hey @Ryan Benjamin amazing course! I'm new to inking, especially when it comes to the tools. I watched your “Materials and Preparation” video in the “Inking a Character” section, but I couldn’t find any link or place where all the tools are listed. The pencil and ink you show in the video look great, but they seem hard to find since the brand appears to be in Chinese? My local art store doesn’t seem to carry them either, so I’ll probably have to order them on Amazon.
I would really appreciate having a list of the materials and the specific brands of pens you use in the video so I can buy them and follow along with the tutorial :P By the way I’m also a big fan of your art and super glad I can learn from you! Cheers! :)

Hey! I made this video awhile ago with my materials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmLvaYw-gy4
Hope this is helpful!
I was very excited to take this course but it was underwhelming at best. The Chapter titles are misleading making you think theres a full course on dynamic posing, blocking in, lighting and clothing/ armor but its just you working on a single project with minimal examples and in some case no talking at all. I support artist and love Marvel but this was a narrated illustration not a class.
I felt exactly the same. When I saw that the course lasted four hours I was excited but the videos covering the aspects one needs to learn were too short. Felt kinda betrayed lol, I love learning art but when I buy a course I don't like to feel like there's a lot of things missing or being left with many questions.
Great course! I just finished watching all the videos and learned a lot. I'm new to Proko and have a question. How do we submit our own drawings for review? Thanks!
I've really struggled with hatching when rendering and your lighting and shading demo was extremely helpful and specific. I never thought to treat each area as having its own hotspot and that makes WAY more sense now. Thanks so much!
I don't mean to complain but I'm a few lessons in and kind of disappointed by the "lessons" so far. Lessons of 3 minutes without a lot of actual tips a few time. It's more a drawing demo with some random tips. The "drawing of the head" for instance contains very few tips for instance. Lots of silence even. I mean... This course is just mainly focused so far on finishing a single drawing so far. I was hoping to get some more tips on how to make my poses more dynamic for instance. Hopefully better in the next lessons. I did enjoy Ryan's previous lessons that I watched.
I wanted to wait until I finish the full course but I'm just a little further than you are and that's been my experience as well. Really hoping it expands passed the single drawing. I saw the recent Instagram posts giving tips and advertising the course which made me order and was hoping that would have been the approach
Hey Ryan, I’m eventually going to get both. But would you recommend this before or after the extensive marvel course?
Great course. Lots of awesome tips and the finishing of your inks just beautiful. Thanks Ryan.
Just watched the first video! You can tell you've been doing this a long time.
The ease in which you multiplied the muscle and how you set up the figures excellent. I know of some anatomy and the lines used.. just awesome. I know it's just the start but kudos! This is really cool and I appreciate that it's concise. I am looking forward to the rest of it and using it towards trying to visualize/conceptualize my DnD Character :)
I'm planning on getting it soon I got your other course i really like how you explain things in intro to drawing course it helped a lot thanks!
when you say the course would launch on Agust 18th did you mean of 2026
Hello there! Could anyone tell - when will the couse launch? August the 19th is already here
Hey Ryan looking forward to this course and your kickstarter project! Aiming for hot new portfolio samples to show you, cheers!
