About the instructor:

Alberto Ruiz is a renowned Ecuadorian-born artist based in New York City, with over 30 years of experience in illustration, animation, and graphic design. He has worked with major clients like DC Comics, Marvel, Nickelodeon, and VIACOM, and is the founder of BrandStudio Press, Trinquétte Publishing, and Xupuy Editions. Though widely recognized for his commercial work, Alberto is best known for his bold, expressive figurative art. His book “Bocetto: The Art of Alberto Ruiz” was published by Heavy Metal Magazine in 2007, and his tutorials have appeared in Draw Magazine alongside his contributions as a writer and educator.
