Caroline Kloppert goal : I wish to continue learning to draw better. As this is a shading course, I'm hoping to see an improvement in how I convey depth, structure and volume with shadow challenges : Though I was taught to draw at art school, we never covered how to shade. Not with the detail and clarity seen in this course anyway. I feel very shaky with my shading. I hope this course will open my eyes to light and dark and volume and I'll get stronger. Time is a challenge as I've loads of caring responsibilities, and my social media addiction (youtube mainly) isn't helpful ! Commitment: I aim to watch less youtube and put my time into drawing every day for an hour, post the drawing to instagram and mention the courses I'm doing for the sake of other people learning. I've been a Proko fan for some time. I think this shading course is wonderful and I'm sure it will benefit many people. Discovered this shiny black earthling on a pile of rotten guavas. What a perfect example of specular reflection in nature ! The selfie indicates my priorities with regard to personhood.

Hi everyone!!! I decided to do the assignments traditionally so I wrote on my sketchbook instead (I might change to digital to try a bit of both and maximize my learning!)
