Head Proportions Lesson Assignment
Prepare a hard-boiled egg, a pencil, and an eraser.
Draw the vertical center line on the egg, bisecting it evenly.
Draw the horizontal line for the eyes, halfway between the top and bottom of the egg.
Draw the line for the bottom of the nose, slightly closer to the eye line than the bottom of the egg.
Draw the line for the lips, one-third of the way down between the nose and the bottom of the egg.
Observe and practice drawing the egg with these lines from at least 20 different angles.
