Congratulations, we made it to the end of the course! As you continue your studies, remember to be patient with yourself and enjoy the process. Gesture drawing is tough and it takes time to really feel solid with it. Don’t stress about getting everything perfect—mistakes are part of learning. Keep moving forward, use gesture as the foundation, and let your drawings grow from there. And when you feel like you’re stuck or just want a refresher, come back and revisit the lessons. You’ll probably pick up new things you didn’t notice the first time.

I’m so glad I took this course – especially alongside the figure construction one – they really tie together well. @Michael Hampton's clear, step-by-step approach, with each stage building on the last, helped remove the mystique and took the fear out of tackling figures for me. Thank you!

So glad to hear it, Maria!

Michael. Thank you so much for holding this class in gesture. Came at the right time for me. I was stuck in your figure drawing class at gesture and jumped at the chance to take this class so I could focus on gesture only. I’ve learned a ton and see a lot of improvement in my drawings. I’m returning to the figure drawing class and can finally move past the gesture stage of the drawing process.
