Back with another (extra fun) demo!
In this one, I use some of Court Jones’ caricature sketches and a couple photos for reference to make a caricature sculpture of Stan Prokopenko.

I'm wondering about where to make a cut when making a bust. If i show chest, facial expression will lose focus, and if i cut it at the point where shoulders are bent, the corners will look sharp and anxious.

Looking great! I like seeing the structure at the beginning. I think I liked just the shoulders but it's really up to you what you think looks better. remember on the chest that the rib cage underneath is the primary form and the chest muscles and breast tissue sits on top of that rounded form. Right now it feels like the chest structure is a bit sunken in the middle if that makes sense. Keep up the great work!

Wow these are getting better every time! Great expression in this one! The only thing that stands out is that the face might be a bit flat and it might round off a bit more from the middle of the face to the front of the cheeks then to the side plane of the face. It's hard to be sure though from these references. What you might do is try to observe children or babies from above and then look at your sculptures from above and make sure that the shapes are matching. Keep it up!

Nicely done! I might soften the transition from the face to the hair. Right now it looks a bit like a wig. nicely done on the expression. keep it up!

Wow really fun and difficult facial expression with the mouth open. It's great to see how hard you're working on these portrait studies. It's hard to say without seeing the reference but from the side view the chin might be a little bit farther back (closer to the neck) so I might double check the side profile if you have a reference of that. Keep it up!
