LESSON NOTES
To a caricaturist, a video exposing deviant celebrities means something entirely different than what most people would think. In this lesson, we’re going to look closely at four different celebrity faces and I’ll describe how I think their likenesses deviate from the average, while doing quick caricature sketches of them that highlight and accentuate those differences. The purpose of this demonstration is to show how my mind works and the reasons behind my decisions. Hopefully, they’ll help you get better at observing and making your own caricature choices.

Here's my version of the celebrities in the video. I am having difficulties drawing female caricatures, any tips or suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Lol! This one is fun ^^
As for cartooniness, there are many styles of caricature, each independent to each artist, and they can range from more three-dimensional with realistic rendering (like the ones you see in the Final Sketch section of this course) to more abstract and two-dimensional ones (like Al Hirschfeld's). Where you lean is up to you as an artist, but I would suggest trying both out, as well as different blends between the two, as experimentation helps you become more well-rounded and have more tools at your disposal.
I decided to purchase this course right away. I realized that summer will be extremely hot, and I'll be sweating heavily.
So here's my submission. Not bad on the first try. I'll try again whenever I have time.
Well done. The portraits are quite expressive. A personal preference of mine would be to have bigger eye pupils to make their faces look warm and interested. The shading in the first drawing looks a bit unintentional, and could be mistaken for actual shapes (beard stubble) or it ages the person (on the neck and under the eye). I love the Eddy Murphy drawing.
These are caricatures I am doing for a retail caricature job application. Thought I'd put these up as a before and after.
I started now with the caricature course and got to the zhumbnail stage. I just drew along while Mr Court Jones is explaining. Afterwards I tried to color it with the knowledge so far. I just wanted to know which decisions will come up during the painting process
