This course and the gestural course really helped me to construct the human body. I'm currently practicing 60 mins of gestural drawings, followed by 5-10 figure construction drawings every day.
I'm no longer seeing boxes and ovals as just shapes, but shapes that help me construct the human figure, and help me see the different planes and perspectives of the forms.

Followed the gesture- and construction course. Would love to get some feedback.
Took my time with the course and saw real improvement. I struggle with several things but noticed a reoccurring issue I have is leg placement and length, especially in more stiff poses. I plan on going through the lessons again after combing through the book. Thank you.
Had a little tiny break-thru today :) While practicing. I have found my gestures as being a little overworked. I was spending to much time on them, and they were not looking gesture like. It got to the point where I was reversing step 5 (perspective)) and step 6 (anatomy.) I realize there is no single “right” way, but am trying to stay true to the process. Then I had a model pose that gave me some trouble with the perspective. It was a view of the model from above, and I was having trouble with the shoulders and chest, etc. After finishing the sketch, and not happy with it, I tried another quick sketch, but this time I started with perspective as my first step. Once I had the upper body and hips in two simple perspective boxes, I could easily see the structure of the shoulders, chest, and hips. Little wins.
