Here is my first finished piece from the The Glass Menageries. I already explained the background of the image previously so I will just shortly explain my technique. I am totally new working with mixed media, but its been really enjoyable so far. I first did a pencil drawing on board, worked over that with bleach titanium layers on layers, added ink and watercolor. Then I scanned it in and add more layers and colors in Photoshop. There is something cool in the rough value sketch that I lost, but I'm pretty pleased with the final painting. Any feedback is welcome!

I chose the Corroded theme for the final painting, choosing watercolour as the medium after watching Sterling’s demos and my not having much experience using this medium. I am using soda hinting at it’s harmful effects on health and using ‘corroded’ in the environment around the drink.

I'm surprised that you hadn't used watercolor before, given your successful level of finish. I wonder if you'll continue to use watercolor. You're quite proficient with it!

Nice work @Gwynn ! The final image came out clear and legible. Good palette, values and tone. I'd encourage the type to go a good bit larger and move the words to different lines so they can be more prominent. I do really love the sketch and the final is a bit departure in perspective. I really like the city aspect of the sketch.
