Wonder Woman · Graphite on paper

Here's a recent piece I'm calling done for now. I may tweak a few things in the future, but it's been off the easel long enough I might as well post it :D For this one, I let go of a lot of time constraints I've historically put on myself. I just kept pushing it as far as I could go. It's pretty small—the whole portrait is maybe 3 inches (7.6cm) tall. The pencil included in the second image is for scale. The size made it really tricky! Not sure I'll do a portrait this tiny again...

Just wonderful! I think the small size made the rendering feel rather soft and delicate, while also emphasizing the texture, almost as if a nostalgic, hazy photograph. Beautiful work :)

The tiny size definitely made the texture of paper have a big influence on the drawing. Thank you for the nice words!

Wonderful drawing. And it's super small! Why did you draw her so small?

Thank you! I didn't set out to draw her that small. I originally started this as a little doodle in my sketchbook, and just kept going and going!
