Watercolor Value Study: Windowside Florals

I experimented with capturing light using watercolor—
the value arrangement is what makes this piece interesting.
By placing shapes within similar value zones, you can achieve a surprisingly rich effect.
When exploring cafés, I always love finding a seat by the window.
Once in a while, I get lucky and catch that slow, golden afternoon light.
Pair it with a vanilla canelé—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—
and a fruit-forward hand-brewed coffee,
and that's my idea of a perfect afternoon.
