Figure drawing from a live half-body male model. I imagined a sauna or bathhouse as the background while drawing—somehow it just felt right for the mood. Before this session, I had spent time studying the rib cage structure, which turned out to be incredibly helpful when identifying major landmarks and organizing volume. It gave me a clearer roadmap while navigating the torso. I’m currently curious about how muscle masses shift with different poses—especially around the obliques and serratus area—so I plan to dive deeper into structural analysis in future studies.

During this sketching session, I noticed how delicate the model's facial features were. Out of curiosity, I asked and found out she was a friend from Myanmar. Thinking back, I realized I haven't really had many chances to draw Southeast Asian faces. This time, I used two shades of purplish-red, and the combination turned out to be surprisingly pleasant. Next time, I'd like to try lower-saturation tones or perhaps work on darker paper. I feel like using such high-saturation colors has even made my eye floaters more noticeable!
