Watercolor value sketch

I've been taking online classes for watercolor for a few months now. It's not something that is coming easily, but I love the medium. I enjoy the struggle. Here is a value sketch I did last week where the water I paint is finally starting to look like water. Still a long ways to go, but I'm happy to celebrate whatever progress I can make.

Another value sketch. I'll try this again at a larger size.

Very nice ! Looking forward your next pieces ! Watercolor definitely is worth it, but a bit... "counter intuitive" to use at first, but as soon as you start mastering it it's so rewarding... godspeed :)

Fun. I’m inspired by your piece. in Stan’s challenge given a few days ago to explore new things (he did markers in his live stream instruction), I opted for water color. A challenge is eight. My 7th grade drawing level plus water color makes for some laughter, but it’s happy laughter to know that if I’ll do the work in time disastrous pieces like mine will just be viewed as stepping stones as more compelling abilities are formed.
