Hey unrelated but how did you make your profile picture? Is it 3D rendered + painted over? The colors look so pure and matte and just beautiful. haha. I'm trying to figure out how to do something similar for a project but it's rough.

Great studies! i think maybe in the second one I'd reduce the contrast in the material behind and soften that a bit. For the first one I'd either lighten the background behind it or make it more uniform or create more lost edge along its back.
