Something feels off

I tried stylizing him it for some reason it feels off. I exaggerated his main features, and then painted over it following the asaro head as a guide. When I put the actual photo of him right next to the drawing I get that it's the same person, but when the drawing is alone I can't seem to recognize him. any idea of what could've gone wrong and what I can do to improve?

Good Evening Sofia: This overall looks very clean and crisp. After looking at both the REF and Caricature, your mouth is smaller then the REF and your nose is more triangular instead of round and bulbous. The sharp edges on the cheekbones makes him look thinner then he truly is. Other then that, they style if very interesting. I like it. Good Job

Well it looks good, nice job. Do not worry about liklines too much, when you make a stilised portrait you always lose someting, it is important to keep key features you chose recognisabul enoth. Few thihgs you can do to improve it: You can step out a little from the original photo and move his ears up, just a bit, you could move the shadow on HIS right chek a little up and you could make the bg a little darker to make him pop up slightly more. You can do one of this things or all of them, or whatever you want. Hope it is useful.

I really love your style. Regarding likeness: - I feel the biggest issue is the jaw section, which i think is too small. It needs to be longer vertically, and the jaw line to be less sharp. In the current drawing the proportion between the bottom half and lower half of the face makes it look like he is too young. - The hair colour should probably not be black but more brown Anyway, please take my advice with a grain of salt, the drawing looks awesome
