Sea Peoples

I was listening to some historical Podcasts and got inspired to illustrate the sea peoples. A mysterious group of seafarers that invaded the major civilisations at the time, playing a part in the bronze age collapse. Crazy stuffs Anyway.. Wanted to paint something a little more high key for a change, think I went a little too detailed in places there. Also experimented a little with using textures. It's fine on the ground and the rock in the back but I don't think it really work on the metal parts. C&C welcome!:)

Wow Jan, these are really well painted! The colors and rendering really look they are part of the surroundings. If I were to say one thing, it's that your figures look out of proportion, in particular, the legs look too short. Because of that, the guy in the front feels like his head is too large. Other than that, looks really cool. I'm fascinated about the mystery about the sea people too by the way :)
